A dynamic financial services company located in downtown Los Angeles seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Analyze financial results and explain variances to management
• Support internal and external audits and provide requested documentation
• Assist with regulatory reporting relevant to the financial services industry
• Review work of junior accounting staff and provide guidance as needed
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls
• Support special projects, system enhancements, and financial initiatives

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in financial services, banking, asset management, or professional services strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or realted field required
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
